Volunteer
Volunteers are an essential part of keeping In Harmony With Nature strong.
Opportunities may include grounds and landscaping, sanctuary upkeep, maintenance projects, food preparation and supply organization, administrative assistance, fundraising, community outreach, and professional or skilled services, and of course daily animal care. volunteer levels offer many paths to assist our sanctuary.
Restricted Volunteers receive orientation appropriate to their assigned service. They do not enter animal enclosures, or handle direct contact animal care tasks.
Animal care Volunteers receive additional training and authorization based upon sanctuary needs, demonstrated competency and IHWN approval.
Volunteer participation does not include or guarantee direct animal interaction.

Corporate & Group Volunteer Service Days
Give your team an opportunity to make a meaningful difference together.
Approved businesses, community organizations and other groups may participate in scheduled volunteer service projects supporting the sanctuary and its mission.
Projects are based upon current sanctuary needs and may include landscaping, property improvements, maintenance, organization, cleanup and other approved service activities.
Participants complete the appropriate volunteer registration and safety orientation and serve within their approved volunteer roles.
Group volunteer service does not include animal handling, enclosure entry or guaranteed animal interaction.
Become a Sanctuary Partner
IHWN invites businesses, foundations and community organizations to help build a strong, sustainable future for the animals who call the sanctuary home.
Partnerships may support ongoing animal care, sanctuary improvements, recurring operational needs, professional services, materials, equipment or other meaningful projects.
Every partnership can be shaped around genuine sanctuary needs and the interests and resources of the participating organization.
